Wow - We’re over halfway through the year and we’ve worked on so many tasks. If you have read and written responses to the 1st 30 lessons, you’ve completed the START section of your business journey.

Hopefully, you have written the 6 components of your business plan, and the five components of your Work/Life Balance Plan. These should all relate back to your WHY. These include a Mission Statement, Values Proposition, and Purpose Statement.

This is Reset Week.

It’s time to review your progress within your business and plan for the 4th Quarter. This starts the RUN of your journey.

Review where you are.

Break out your journal and write responses about these questions:

  • Are your desired outcomes achievable?
  • Are your goals in line with your outcomes?
  • Does your plan for Work/Life Balance match your business plan, goals, and outcomes?

As you start to plan for the 4th Quarter (Sept/Oct/Nov) plan your Holiday sales, Gratitude events, and Halloween fun. This time of year is the busiest for retailers. Whether you’ve online and/or store front, be sure you know what you’re going to offer, how you’ll display/present it, and how you’ll plan for some “me” time to avoid burn-out.

What's Next?

Over the next 21 weeks, we’ll spend the first 5 on how to manage your finances. From basic spreadsheets to budgets and cash flow, you’ll learn how to create a paper spreadsheet and supporting  documents.

The next 5 weeks will be learning about Product and Services. How to use your budget to purchase goods. How to set up an inventory. And other sales practices.

The last 5 weeks will be spent on Social Media. And the last week will be about how to recap your year and write goals and objectives for next year based on sales.
